City Tour in Münster

Anja Terhorst working at Münster’s municipality invited us for a city tour through Münster. We started our day with a bike tour and rode to the old town. As it was our first experience to ride a bike in Münster we enjoyed it very much and would like to do it again! Our first stop was the town hall, where we visited the famous hall of peace, “Friedenssaal”. Then we moved on to the Prinzipalmarkt, the LWL Art Museum, the church “Lambertikirche” and the cathedral. As Münster offers many sights we decided to continue our tour with the red double-decker “Münsterbus”. One of the most important places in Münster surely is the big lake “Aasee”. Taking the boat “Solaaris” we crossed the lake to the open air museum “Mühlenhof”. There we visted traditional buildings of illustrating the rural life in Münsterland.
Despite the great amount of activities and new impressions for a single day, we enjoyed each of them. We definitely will spend more time to visit more places in Münster, as it’s a beautiful city!
